13/09/08 - A 2-1 win over Waihopai completes the Premier Team's 2008 trophy haul with the Charity Cup complimenting the Preseason Trophy, the Donald Gray Cup, and the Larry O'Rorke Challenge Trophy all won earlier in the season. 

After the game at the Southland Football awards ceremony Danny Rosel also picked up the Singapore Trophy for Southland Football's Men's Footballer of the Year.  This capped a highly successful season for club's top team in our Jubilee Season.  Congratulations to Danny, coach Cory Johnson, and the rest of the Team.

The Queens Park Ladies certainly hadn't forgotten how to play either......or how to drink!

17/05/08 - Queens Park pushes Roslyn-Waikari to extra time in the Chatham Cup.  Roslyn were composed in the early stages of play and it took a while for the home side to find parity.  However as Park did begin to play themselves into the game they were rewarded with a penalty.  The penalty was softly given, and the resulting shot equally soft; the keeper managing to get a leg to the ball and ensure both teams went to the break even.

When play resumed Q.P. struggled to capitalise on any opportunities, and midway through the second half Tim Dalman opened the scoring for the visitors.  As regulation time ticked on hopes of a Queens Park upset were waning.  That was until Ryan Boyle latched on to a Fabian Wanjura cross in the dying stages of the match, levelling the scores with a powerful header.  The goal revived the hope of supporters, but extra time proved too much for the home team, as the defence pushed forward to affect a result, and Roslyn's superior fitness began to show.  Roslyn eventually progressing to the second round with a 4-1 victory.

10/05/08 - Queens Park beat Southend United 3 - 2 to claim the Larry O'Rorke challenge Trophy.

30/04/08 - Queens Park has drawn Roslyn Wakari for Round 1 of the Chatham Cup.  The match will be played at Turnbull Thomson Park on the 17th of May at 2:00 p.m.  Judging by the last time the two teams met in 2006 the match is bound to be a great spectacle.  In 2006 Roslyn Waikari eventually proceeded to round 2 after a dubious 95th minute penalty handed them a 2 - 1 victory.

29/03/08 - Both Queens Park teams finish top of their respective divisions in the preseason tournament.
